Cuba reiterated its rejection of the U.S. government's decision of including once again the Caribbean nation on its list of suspected terrorist states.
The certification of countries or making lists of good and bad states, according to the political expediency of some, are unlawful practices and discredit the true purpose of fighting terrorism.
Cuba's position was stated by its Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Rodolfo Benitez, in a meeting on Measures to Eliminate International Terrorism.
The diplomat said that Washington's actions demonstrate the irrationality of U.S. policy toward Cuba. The same that for over 50 years has sustained the cruelest and prolonged economic, commercial and financial set against a country, despite the rejection of the international community, he added.
