Ricardo Cabrisas, vice president of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, received today in this capital Victor Tikhonov, deputy prime minister of Ukraine.

During the meeting at the headquarters of the Council of Ministers, both sides noted the excellent political relations and reaffirmed the traditional ties of friendship between the two nations, Foreign Ministry sources report.

In the exchange, Tikhonov and Cabrisas and discussed issues on the economic agenda and appreciated the potential that exits in industries such as rail transport, agriculture, tourism and the export of medicines.

Both sides reaffirmed the importance of following up and properly managing the implementation of the agreements. These covered areas such as health, culture, commerce, the food industry, iron and steel, aviation, radio and television and computing.
