The participation on Friday of deputies at the 6th Ordinary Period of Sessions of the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly of the People’s Power (Parliament) was aimed at the analysis of several socioeconomic branches governing the development of the Cuban nation, among them the Agribusiness, Industrial and Energy policies, Tourism, Transport, Constructions and Housing.
The Vice-president of the Council of Ministers, Marino Murillo Jorge, stated the need to continue maintaining the achievements of the Revolution in terms of Health, Sports and Education and later on urged to encourage constructions made by people with their own efforts, which strengthens their sense of belonging in addition to benefit them.
Murillo reiterated the need to increase efficiency, especially in the production sector, in activities like agriculture, the food industry and investment, and in the fields of agribusiness, industry, energy, tourism, housing and water resources.
The 6h Ordinary Period of Sessions of the 7th Legislature of the National Assembly of the People’s Power will continue on Saturday, when deputies will pass the analysis on the Draft Guidelines of the Economic and Social Policy of the Party and the Revolution, and the Economic Plan and the Budget for 2011.
