Cuba reaffirmed at the United Nations on Tuesday its support to the legitimate right of Argentina in the sovereign dispute in relation to The Falklands Islands issue.

The ratification of that support was expressed by permanent representative to the UN Pedro Nuñez Mosquera during a session of the UN decolonization committee.

The diplomat said that southern archipelago, occupied by Britain, is an inseparable part of the Argentinean national territory, and reiterated that the Cuban stance on that matter is very clear: The Falklands are and will continue being part of Argentina.

Mosquera stressed that the topic has been subject of 45 resolutions of the decolonization committee and of other 10 resolutions of the UN General Assembly.

He also praised the strength with which the Argentinean government and people have continued fairly demanding the restitution of that territory.
