Head of States approved a special communique about climate change with a view to the XV Conference in Copenhagen in the closing session of the Eight Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the peoples of our America (ALBA) and ratified Kyoto Agreement as the legal system in force to control the request and world cooperation to face the global warming.
Presidents also rejected the intentions of developed countries to force a political agreement, which condemn the 80 % of the population over the world to the poverty, and the underdevelopment; that’s an acceptable fact and it can not be a political option, stressed the document proved by the countries, members of ALBA.
Head of States affirmed that the development countries direct their efforts to change and break the principles and agreements of the legal system in force, of which objective is to keep their production patterns and consumption labeled as unsustainable; just us the dependence and marginalization of third world countries.
Within the framework of Kyoto Agreement, after almost three years of negotiations to assume the second period of agreements about the reduction of global warming emissions in developed countries, as a well as two years of negotiations of the working group on the long-term cooperation for an agreement among the member nations; the developed countries, which are the main responsible of the climate change and its adverse impacts, have no intention to reach relevant results in the XV Conference of Copenhagen.
