A supportive embrace from Ecuadorian people accompanies the highest recognition of the National Assembly of the Republic of Ecuador Gen Eloy Alfaro granted to Fidel Castro and presented by president Fernando Cordero  to first vice- president of the Council of State and Ministers  of Cuba, Jose Ramon Machado Ventura.

Cuevas said that this recognition to the leader of the Cuban Revolution gain understanding of, most of the events in Latin America could hardly be conceived without Fidel many things that happen in America could not be told without Fidel Castro.

We believe that our people, our leader, Rafael Correa, would hardly have been conceivable without Cuba, said Cuevas, who also emphasized the merits of Fidel as the man who never give in, because he always trusted his people

We never give up, never stop fighting no matter the difficult circumstances," is an indispensable part of the legacy the Cuban leader, expressed the Ecuadorian holder.
During the ceremony, Cuevas expressed the Ecuadorian’s solidarity with Cuba and wished that the claim of freedom for the Cuban Five will be heard by the U.S. president, as well as it is possible to build the Latin American country.

Likewise, he sent a message of gratitude and solidarity of a brother nation which for the same reasons are still tireless fighters.

For the president of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba Ricardo Alarcón de Quesada, this recognition to Fidel, the highest recognition by the Ecuadorian legislature, is an "unequivocal expression of friendship and solidarity between Ecuador and Cuba."

Alarcón considered the example of Eloy Alfaro, who knew how to combine the love of his people with the spirit of internationalism and recalled that since the nineteenth century unite us that Latin American country with blood and mutual sacrifices.

Fidel and his people know the value of Marti’s warning:." He who rises for Cuba now, rises for all time” So we deeply appreciate the gesture of solidarity that you bring us the beloved and fraternal Ecuador, “

Alarcón also thanked his counterpart the recognition on behalf of the Commander in Chief and always reiterated the commitment of the Ecuadorian people.

Previously, the President of Ecuador's National Assembly held a meeting with Cuban First Vice President Jose Ramon Machado Ventura and today will participate in the seminar Achievements and New Challenges today accomplishments and challenges of the Bolivarian Alternative for the Peoples of Our America.
