The Interreligious Foundation Pastors for Peace, began its annual tour for United States and Canada to condemn the economic blockade against Cuba
The members of the XXI Friendship Caravan US-Cuba will also demand against the laws that forbid American citizens to travel to the island, reported Granma newspaper. The caravan will also visit several Canadian cities such as: Calgary, Vancouver, Ottawa, Regina, Kingston, Winnipeg, Toronto and British Columbia, as well as, Washington, Minnesota, North Dakota, Massachusetts, Oregon and other U.S states.
They will repudiate the economic war that successive U.S. administrations keep against Cuba and express their determination to enforce the right of U.S. citizens to travel freely to wherever they want.
The members will also talk about the injustice committed against the Five Cuban antiterrorists unjustly imprisoned in U.S. since 1998.
These patriots were monitoring anti-Cuban groups in Florida, which for decades with impunity executed sabotage, bombings and attacks against the island bacteriological
As a result of those actions was killed 3, 478 people while 2, 999 others were injured. The damages to the Cuban economy are estimated at billions of dollars.
The XXI Caravan is dedicated to children and the care they receive in Cuba, and the donations they receive will be designed to cover children and recovery efforts from the damages caused by hurricanes.
