A bomb again has taken the matter referred to the bombing of the DC-8 belonging to Cubana de Aviación, events that occurred on October 6, 1976, when the aircraft departed from Caracas to Trinidad-Tobago to the island of Barbados Jamaica, before returning to Cuba, exploded because of the two pumps of the type C-4 explosive that criminals had attached to the device. In the airplane traveled 73 people, including 24 Cuban athletes.

Luis Posada Carriles is accused of this disreputable crime. Although there are other people involved, like Orlando Bosch Avila, Venezuelans, Hernán Ricardo Lozano and Freddy Lugo, I will focus only on Luis Posada Carriles, and Pedro Carmona, one is a terrorist and the other a coup plotter.

Last week marked the fifth anniversary since Venezuela presented the United States requirements for this criminal's extradition to Venezuela to be tried here and in this case a word. Blind eye has been made in violation of all extradition agreement. Venezuela signed on January 1922, an extradition treaty with the United States in September 1971 the Convention for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts against the Safety of Civil Aviation, and on 15 December 1997, the International Convention for the Suppression of Terrorist Bombings.

All this is clear and Venezuela has fulfilled those commitments, extraditing persons to be identified by drug traffickers or terrorists to countries that have signed these agreements, including Colombia, Spain and the United States, among others.

This country has met. Why the governments of Colombia and the United States do not comply? Carmona is in the United States, he is a coup plotter of Alvaro Uribe’s government.  Posada Carriles is for the U.S government is a relic, just because he planted a bomb on a plane, killing innocent people, who were making their way back to our nation.

The United States is accused for this crime. Maybe this is a reason he is not deported. It seems they hide something; they have also refused that Posada to be punished in our country.

They have given greater importance to the migration process by which he is accused to that requested by Venezuela. They do so in order to prolong the process as he walks free awaiting trial or will never arrive. There prefer to die without pay for the crimes committed in our country.

This man, in 1998, said in Washington that he was the mastermind of terrorist campaigns that did explode the bombs in hotels and restaurants in Havana. Pertierra recalled the lawyer, who has the case for Venezuela.
