The Foreign Ministers of Iran, Egypt and Cuba, the so-called "troika" of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), will meet on Monday in Cairo, Egyptian media outlets reported on Wednesday.
The local "Al Ahram" newspaper asserted that the Iranian FM, Manouchehr Mottaki, will arrive in Egypt on Sunday.
The trip will take place amid an apparent rapprochement of relations between the two countries, 30 years after the breaking-off of diplomatic relations following the signing of a peace treaty on the part of Egypt with Israel and its offering of asylum to the Persian Shah after the Islamic Revolution.
Tehran and Cairo never re-established their bonds, but in recent times relations seem to have improved.
At present, Egypt holds the rotating presidency of the 118 countries making up the NAM. Iran will host the next summit of the group in 2012.
