1ro-mayo-2013Over 2 thousand unionists, leaders of social organizations and solidarity movements from 73 countries of the world have confirmed attendance of May Day celebrations in Havana.

Raymundo Navarro, member of the National Secretariat of the Cuban Workers’ Confederation (CTC) said that unionists from other nations have traditionally participated in celebrations here for International Workers’ Day on May 1st, according to Granma newspaper.
maduroThe president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, expressed his gratefulness to the Cuban people and their leaders for their unconditional assistance given to Venezuela.

The Venezuelan leader and Cuban president Raul Castro closed the 13th  Session of the  Cuba-Venezuela Intergovernmental Commission at Havana’s Convention Palace.

Maduro also expressed his appreciation to the Cuban medical specialists who assisted Bolivarian leader Hugo Chavez during his health condition till his passing away.

Maduro was welcomed at the Jose Marti International Airport by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, reported Granma newspaper.
 
The 13th Cuba-Venezuela Intergovernmental Commission started works yesterday presided over by Venezuela’s Oil and Mining Minister Rafael Ramirez and Cuba´s Foreign Trade and Investment Minister Rodrigo Malmierca.
oclaeRepresentatives of the Latin American and Caribbean Student Movement ratified their solidarity and support to Cuba and the five heroes, who have been held in the United States for 15 years now.

After a three-day forum in Nicaragua, the General Secretariat of the Continental Latin American and Caribbean Student Organization (OCLAE) adopted a statement also demanding the criminal US blockade of Cuba.
