The 55th anniversary of Radio Cadena Agramonte station, in the central province of Camaguey, was marked on June 9. It is imposible to write about this station without mentioning radio worker José (Pepe) Martínez Estévez. So, I decided to interview him at home. Without protocols or schemes, the conversation just flew and turned into a kind of radial production.

About his beginnings at the station Martinez recalled:

On June 9, in the Basilica Menor San Francisco de Asis Convent, in the historic center of Old Havana, the outstanding Cuban pianist and composer Frank Fernandez was warmly welcomed for a magisterial concert for the 90th anniversary of Cuban radio.

With great modesty, as usual, Fernandez received a Diploma for his contribution to the work carried out at the Cuban radio and television, from Guillermo Pavon, vice president of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television. The certificate thanks the maestro for his musical contribution to important audiovisual works, which are now part of the Cuba's sound heritage.

Professionals who work in the radio industry in Camagüey province are attending the 33rd Provincial Radio Festival in the municipality of Florida to evaluate the quality of the journalistic work, and other issues related to radio creation.

On the first day of the festival, three participatory workshops were conducted in which attendees discussed on journalism and on integrated newsrooms, the musical programming and the writing of scripts, aspects that are fundamental for making a better job in this medium.
