Feature articles about Radio
Radio news programs were very popular in Europe during the 1930's. In those years, a news program called La palabra , broadcast by Radio Barcelona and Radio Madrid, from Spain, was among the most popular ones. In Cuba, inventor Luis Casas Romero was the first person to produce a news program, which included a news bulletin on the weather forecast, recalls Renaldo Infante, a prestigious Cuban radio worker and researcher.
As radio news programs progressed, those directing them began to look for a more effective way to reach listeners. New concepts and manners emerged and changed over time to shape radio news programs we know today.
The Historian of Havana City Eusebio Leal Spengler has said more than once that the calendars issued by Radio Havana Cuba station, which have gone to be considered little artworks; should be carried in the left pocket, close to the heart.
With the support of Guayasamín Foundation and the Spanish Culture and International Collaboration Association, this Cuban station has already picked the image of the 2013 pocket calendar, as well as the date and place for its presentation.
US imperialism has a powerful ally in its mainstream media, which has become a real invader of nations with its messages full of propaganda and lies that can reach everywhere and make any country look like the bad guy that needs punishment in the form of an invasion from the US to impose a US-approved order.
This invasion of US media is based on its own concept of freedom of press, which seeks to keep its disgraceful hegemony at any price. For them, spreading and imposing the imperial system is the most important thing and to achieve it they use messages full of cynicism and hypocrisy.
