Radio Havana Cuba to present “Orlando Castellanos” Special Award

The award, which consists of a painting with the image of El Libertador by the Painter of Latin America Oswaldo Guayasamín, will be presented to one of the broadcasters of Cuba or any other country in Latin America and the Caribbean in one of eight languages on Radio Havana Cuba: Spanish, English, French, Portuguese, Arabic, Quechua, Creole and Esperanto, that applies for the award.

Programs opting for this award must be related to the validity of the thought and work of Simón Bolívar, and must have been broadcasted by a station of the Americas in the first period from September 2013 to August 31, 2014.

The radio programs may be developed in any journalistic genre and should not exceed the 15 minutes. They should be sent in digital form to Radio Havana Cuba before September 15, 2014.

The winning program in any of these languages will be released and broadcasted by Radio Havana Cuba on the days of celebration in the International Radio and Television Convention in Havana.

The jury, as in previous editions, will be made up by deputy directors Pedro Martinez Pirez and Pedro Otero from Radio Havana Cuba,as well as Dignora Ledesma Ramos, programming director of the shortwave station.
