Cuba to held the first fashion tradeshow

Organized by the Business Group Box and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, the event will take place from 8 to 11 June at the fairgrounds PABEXPO, located to west of the city center.

Among the main topics include items for women, men and children, footwear and handbags, lingerie and swimwear, accessories, textiles, cosmetics, jewelry, sportswear and fashion magazines.

According to the organizers, Cuba’s Fashion intends to position itself among the most representative markets in this area in the region, such as Brazil and Jamaica cases; in addition to lying the groundwork for it is done every year.

With this purpose, the forum will bring together specialists in fashion business in a favorable environment for exhibitors and visitors to exchange on international trends and prospects for development facing the country in this sector environment.

In an exhibition space of over three thousand square meters seminars, workshops, fashion shows and presentations of products and services are made, in order to promote new trade agreements, says the announcement.

According to a survey by Juventud Rebelde newspaper on fashion in Cuba, the vast majority of young people are not properly dressed in different occasions of everyday life, the narrow range of garments in the national network and economic constraints.

Another cause detrimental fashion is the disappearance of magazines with Cuban designs, so that the patterns that follow are those of foreign publications, reports the newspaper in the report Public skin, La piel publica .
