The Network of Solidarity with Cuba Supports Obama’s Visit

The group, which is organizing the second “Days of Action against the Blockade in Washington D.C. on April 18-22, describes Obama’s visit as historic.

The statement also notes that despite the measures taken by Obama, the economic, commercial and financial blockade remains intact; the full establishment of bilateral trade did not happen; the Cuban Adjustment Act remains in force and the funds to finance subversive programs are still available.

“We are part of the American people who want and demand a fair policy towards Cuba”, the group emphasized.
