Half a million Cubans attended Major Lazer concert in Havana

Observers say that the crowd largely made up of young people enjoy during five hours of electronic music in what is considered the largest attended concert of its kind in Cuba.

Headed by DJ Diplo, Major Lazer confirmed the significance of Cuba as a cultural stage. We love Cuba, said Diplo amidst the excitement of the people who know his project, which also include Djs Jillionaire and Wahshy Fire.

The event kicked off with a selection of Cuban Djs and that paved the way for Major Lazer playing some of its well known tunes, such as Light it up and Lean On.

The concert came in as the threshold of the Musicabana music festival to run May 5-8 with the participation of of renowned local and international musicians, such as Jamaican Sean Paul and Brazilian Carlinhos Brown
