U.S. Extends Trade Restrictions Against Cuba for Another Year

 

Obama had until Wednesday, September 14th, to decide whether to extend the trade restrictions against Cuba, first imposed in 1962 by then U.S. President John Kennedy as part of Washington’s blockade policy against Cuba. Ever since, the trade restrictions have been extended year after year by the nine consecutive U.S. administrations.
