During a meeting on Tuesday of the organizing committee at the Heredia Theater, site of the event, representatives from 12 regional countries will be on hand, among them ambassadors and business executives. Dr. June Soomer, General Secretary of the Association of Caribbean States will be a special guest at the event.
The Vice President of the Provincial Administration Council, Madeliane Cortes Barquilla called for the development of an event with quality where Cuban business executives can exhibit its best products and services with the objective of strengthening and diversifying commercial ties.
According to the program there will be a press conference on foreign investment in Cuba and panels will exhibit opportunities in sectors like agro-food, sugar, tourism, industries, energy and mining, construction and others.
Conferences on exports in Cuba will also be offered at the event. In addition to business negotiations, bilateral events and the official launching of the 2019 Expocaribbean Fair.
This important commercial event has not been organized for over a decade.
The Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment and the Assembly of the People’s Power in Santiago de Cuba are sponsoring the Cuba-Caribbean Business Forum.
