Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Thursday called to save culture and identity

Commenting on Twitter on a meeting held this week with a hundred young people from various sectors, in Plaza Cadenas, of the University of Havana (UH), the Cuban president noted: ‘When we talk to you one feels very sure that we are going to have a better country in the shortest possible time.

He insisted that it is essential to recognize that the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the northern nation on Cuba exists, and has historical reasons.

Deputy Prime Ministers and holders of different portfolios were also present at the exchange.
