Cuba on early alert for Tropical Storm Fred, President says

“Our regions are bracing up for Fred. We urge our people to follow instructions and take every precaution, the Cuban leader stressed.

The Center for Weather Forecasts of the Institute of Meteorology issued this morning its tropical cyclone warning No. 2 on the tropical storm Fred, which during the early morning was moving south of Puerto Rico and is now better organized, even if its maximum sustained winds remain at 65 km/h and its central pressure at 9,009 hP.

On Thursday, as Fred gets closer to the Bahamas, there will be an increase in the clouds in eastern Cuba, where the rains are likely to be intense.
