99.4 percent of Cuban population vaccinated with one dose

At least 9,734,000 people received a first Covid-19 injection, according to information presented by the head of the National Institute of Epidemiology, Francisco Durán.

Of them, 8,554,728 (87.4% of those vaccinated and 76.5% of the inhabitants) have been administered a second dose, Durán during his daily press conference on TV.

6,820,549 Cubans have been immunized with the complete Covid-19 schedule, 61 percent of those included in the campaign and 69.7 of the country’s entire population.

This puts Cuba in the first place in Latin America and the Caribbean in the immunization against Covid-19, ahead of countries with higher incomes.
