Radio Educación publishes the call to the International Competition for Radio Productions

The Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through Radio Educación, opens the call to participate in the International Contest of Radio Productions of the 14th International Radio Biennial, the traditional event that the institution has organized for more than 25 years and which in 2023 will have the theme: “Journalism and culture for peace”.

A fundamental part of this radio meeting is the International Radio Production Contest, in which radio professionals, other media and/or culture professionals are invited to participate, regardless of the scope of their work (public media, community and indigenous media), as well as non-professionals from the media, students, and members of civil society organizations.

In this 2023, the contestant categories will be: Report, Dramatized Series, Program for girls and boys “Alas y Raíces”, Journalistic Podcast, and Institutional Campaign.

Registration will be open from March 1 to May 31, 2023, through the website radioeducacion.edu.mx/bienal, where you can also consult the complete bases, as well as additional information.

The competing works will be evaluated by a jury made up of prominent national and international specialists, radio professionals, academics and/or researchers of recognized prestige.

The winning projects will be announced during the award and closing ceremony of the Fourteenth International Radio Biennial.

The prizes for each category will be, in Mexican pesos, of: 50 thousand for the first place, 30 thousand for the second and 20 thousand for the third. The International Radio Biennial will take place in person next September, with Tlaxcala as its venue and offering a broad academic program made up of discussion tables, conferences, workshops, conversations and the “Miguel Ángel Granados Chapa” Colloquium, specialized in audiences’ rights.
