Copppal condemns US blockade against Cuba and repeats its solidarity

The members of the Permanent Conference of Political Parties of Latin America and the Caribbean (Copppal) condemned the United States blockade against Cuba and repeated their solidarity with the Cuban people.

At the conclusion of the 51st Plenary Meeting of the Conference, which brings together more than 70 parties from the continent, the delegates unanimously approved a resolution condemning the intensified economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States on Cuba for more than 60 years, the document added.

The blockade and the application of 243 measures adopted during the Donald Trump administration and maintained by President Joe Biden, have been tightened to unsuspected levels.

It is the main obstacle to the development of Cuba’s economy, it impacts all sectors of society and is a flagrant and massive violation of the human rights of Cubans, the text pointed out.
