According to reports, the Chinese government imposed sanctions on partisan and administrative leaders of civil aviation, tourism, health and culture of the cities of Zhangjiajie, Zhengzhou, Yantan and Nanjing.
All were sanctioned because their weak response led to the spread of infectious cases and an unstoppable rise in autochthonous cases, which were under control for months.
China is still under tension and more territories are reinforcing epidemiological efforts, resorting to confinement, massive PCR tests and vaccination even minors since the fresh outbreak is considered as the worst following the beginning of the pandemic in Wuhan.
