The program of the Cuban delegation started with a meeting with the Head of the Commission for Foreign Relations of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Hoang Binh Quan.
This meeting is part of the frequent exchanges between PCC and CPV. Both sides have acknowledged that the bilateral ties are in an excellent state.
Before the meeting, Salvador Valdes Mesa said to Prensa Latina that the main objective of this visit is to inform to CPV leaders about the results of the 7th Congress of the PCC.
In this regard, Valdes Mesa said that ‘we keep each other well informed about key decisions’ and recalled the recent visit made by Binh Quan to Cuba with the same purpose, after the celebration of the 12th Congress of the CPV, held in January.
