In the II Congress of the Cuban Society of Plastic Surgery (Sccpc) that will be run until Friday, the topics will be about safety in plastic surgery (CP), implants, lipo-transference, oncological plastic surgery and integral attention to the burned patient, Dr. Rafael Rodriguez, president of the Cuban Society of Plastic Surgery and of the organizing committee, announced to the press.
The specialist of second degree in Plastic Surgery explained that in the forum Cuba will expose what is done in the country as for aesthetic, reconstructive surgery, which attends deformities and the integral attention to the burned patient.
Cuba has increased the number of implants, mainly breast implants, as well as there is a well-constituted program for cancer, which has made progress, he said.
It will be a propitious occasion to show the current state of Cuban aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, pioneer in the continent, and for professionals of this branch and residents to exchange and expose experiences, he stressed.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Public Health and the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery, among other prestigious national and international organizations, the congress will be attended by professors from the continent, former presidents of the Ibero-Latin American Federation of Plastic Surgery, and plastic surgeons trained in Cuba, among others.
