Nicolas Maduro rejects presence of Felipe Gonzalez in Venezuela

Gonzalez, the bitter enemy of the Bolivarian Revolution, intends to serve as technical adviser in the criminal proceedings against opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez and Daniel Ceballos, former mayor of San Cristobal (Tachira state), imprisoned for their involvement in the violent events that cause the death to 43 Venezuelans and over 800 wounded in 2014.

“The Bogotá-Madrid-Miami axis is acting desperate, sending people to legitimize its war against Venezuela,” Maduro reported on his Twitter account.

Venezuelans and friends in the world participated in the Twitter event using the hashtags #FelipeFueraDeAqui and #VenezuelaSeRespeta.

In this context, the candidates of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela Bolivar took many places of the country and emblematic historical sites to demand respect and reject a visit by a politician with a “thick record” of corruption.

Also, the president of the Judicial Department , Judge Gladys Gutierrez, spoke out against the visit of Felipe Gonzalez and stressed that foreign intervention would not deflect the course of justice in the case of Leopoldo Lopez and Daniel Ceballos.

According to Gutiérrez, González cannot perform duties as a lawyer in a criminal case in the South American nation because it would violate the Law of Lawyers, among other reasons.

Declared persona non grata in April by the Socialist deputies of the Venezuelan Parliament, the former president of Spain(1982-1996) is heavily involved with the international rightwig and is related to the violation of human rights in his country.
