She was one of the most prominent actresses of Radio Progreso because of her good play-acting in radio novels, adventures, theater plays, stories, historical and children programs among others…

On television, she participated fundamentally in the adventure The Hawk, with extraordinary actor Jorge Villazón, who passed away in the fullness of his work. 

Irela Bravo considers there are no great or short characters because every actor and actress grows to make them excellent. We remember her performance as a doctor in the soap opera En el balcon de los helechos. Her brief performances on television have left her mark.

On many occasions Bravo has also participated in dramatic programs on television, for many years she has been the presenter of Entre Tu y yo, a program broadcasted every Saturday evening by Cubavision Channel. 

For her qualities of excellent actress and broadcaster has been invited to participate as member of the jury in the National Radio Festivals.

Among the main awards she has received include:

In 1982 she was awarded as announcer of Radio Progreso in the National Radio Festival.

In 1988 she was awarded as an actress in the radio serial La Parranda in the National Radio Festival.

In 1991 CARICATO Award, the highest distinction granted by highest award given by the Association of Performing Arts of the Union of  the National Association of Writers and Artists(UNEAC) as an actress of the radio actress in La Zapatera Prodigiosa of Radio Progreso.

In 1992 she received CARICATO Award, as a an actress in the story Un recuerdo lindo by Radio Progreso.

In 1995 she was awarded for the story Por un real in the National Radio Festival.

In 1997 she was awarded in the National Radio Festival as an actress in the program Asi se forjo la  Patria.

In 1997 she was also awarded in the National Radio Festival with the program Por nuestros campos y ciudades.

In 1998 she was awarded for her participation in the adventure Furia Blanca and the radio novel La viuda de los perros in the National Radio
Festival. 

Since 1999 Irela Bravo received three Caricato as a radio actress.

In 2000 and 2001 she also received Caracol Awards, the greatest award granted by the Association of Radio, Movies and Television of the
Association of Cuban Writers and Artists (UNEAC) as television presenter in the programs Nuestra Mirada and Entre tu y yo.

In 2000 she was also granted in the National Radio Festival for the adventure El Medallon.

In 2007 and 2008 Irela Bravo received a National Award for her presentation in the program Entre tu y yo.
