Caballero, last year world champion, finished third with 65.34 meter shot in an event won by Croatian Sandra Perkovic (69.21), escorted by French Melina Robert-Michon (66.73).
Another Cuban athlete, Yaime Perez, was also present in the final but finished 12th after three fouls.
On the other hand, Cuba´s Yarisley Silva, Beijing 2015 world champion and London 2012 Olympic silver medalist, advanced to the finals, along with 11 other competitors, of the women´s pole vault event of Rio 2016.
Moreover, the also Cuban Roberto Skyers advanced to semi.finals of the men´s 200 meters event after finishing second in the 4th qualifying heat with time of 20.44 seconds, while his compatriot Reinier Mena was eliminated when concluding fourth in the 7th heat with time of 20.42 seconds.
