As part of his tour of Latin America, Kirill met with Fidel, who discussed several issues, including international relations.
The meeting last February 14 was the second meeting between the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia and the Commander in Chief.
The two leaders met in Havana on October 20, 2008, during the Days of Russia in Latin America.
In Cuba, Patriarch Kirill also met with the president of the Councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raul Castro, who handed the José Martí Order, the highest distinction awarded by the Republic of Cuba, reported Radio Habana Cuba.
