Sportily dressed, Fidel greeted delegates and guests, moments before the closing of the most important political event in the country.
The final session of the 7th Cuban Communist Party Congress began at 10:00 a.m. today at Havana’s Convention Center, coinciding with the 55th anniversary of the historic victory of Giron, in the south coast of Matanzas.
During the day, delegates and guests will know the new structure of the Central Committee and be presented to the First and Second Secretaries, the Political Bureau and the Secretariat.
Delegates and guests agreed that represents a snapshot of the current Cuban society, which also outlines the guidelines for coming years.
