Cuba: Women with Disabilities Debate Violence and Discrimination

 Under discussion is the leadership of women with disabilities, the role of family and sexual orientation as a human right. Also being discussed is the importance of good practice that contribute to the process of inclusion and equality of women with disabilities.

The First Regional Seminar-Workshop of Women Leaders with Disabilities is one of the programs of the strategic plan adopted in Havana in April 2015, they report. There are more than 600 million people with disabilities in the world, 50 million of which live in Latin America and the Caribbean, they added.
