The Pan American Sports Organization Interested in Cooperating with Cuba

Fernandez said, at the Jose Marti International Airport, that the visit will contribute to the development of sports in America and it will be an advantage for Cuba to carry out joint activities with the entity.
 
Ilic Alvarez commented that they think of Cuba as an example in how to develop sports, in addition to helping many countries in the region in different high-level techniques.
 
During our talks with Cuban authorities we will also talk about the Pan American Sports Organization support to the island in repairing sports installations among other activities, said the entity’s representative.
 
In his brief visit to Havana, the General Secretary of the organization, Ivar Sisniega, accompanies the continental sports leader.
 
The President of the National Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER), Antonio Becali Garrido also welcomed the visitor at the airport.
 
The official visit of Neven Ilic Alvarez and Ivar Sisniega includes an intense program of activities with talks with Cuban sports authorities and will tour the Anti-Doping Control Laboratory and other installations in Havana.
