The 1934 Treaty of Relations: one of several sad episodes in U.S.-Cuba relations

Radio Havana Cuba takes a look at one in a long list of sad episodes in the bilateral history between Cuba and the United States—the 1934 Treaty of Relations, an accord that sought to clean Washington’s image to the inside of Cuba as it removed the irritating provisions of its previous version, the 1903 Treaty. We base our look on the account of that moment by the well-known Cuban historian Elier Ramirez Cañedo.
