Cuban President holds meeting with Cuban-American activist Carlos Lazo

Lazo is visiting Cuba, where he traveled with solidarity aid to support the nation in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Through his Facebook profile, the leader of the Puentes de Amor project shared some impressions after the dialogue with the country’s top leadership.

“In a respectful manner, various topics were discussed, including Cuban passports, 8-year travel restrictions, and other issues that concern Cubans living outside and inside Cuba,” he wrote.

The professor added that in the exchange both parties discussed the sanctions of the United States and how they punish the Cuban family. “The need for those who love and build to work together to lift the sanctions that suffocate the Cuban people was reiterated,” published.

In addition, the professor shared his hope to continue “building Bridges of Love with everyone and for the good of all.”
