Sanchez told ACN about the satisfactory welcome given to the 18 paintings she exhibits for the first time by the public, reporters, critics, artists, babalawos and santeros, referring to deities of religious beliefs originally coming from Africa.
The main image of the exhibition, called “Siete Mares” (Seven Seas), is Yemaya, sometimes alone and others accompanied by other orishas, like Chango, Eleggua and Ochun.
Paintings are of medium-size format, of acrylic on canvas, and are characterized by their color, freshness and beauty, according to specialists who appreciated the pieces
