Radio Havana Cuba station also gave a Special Award for those works that best tackled the issue related to Cuba’s presence in the world. The winner was “Al Dia” News Radio Jaruco station with information on “Cubans in Belgium.”
Special awards were given: to Raudelis Martinez, who works for the Saeta news at Radio Mambí station in Santiago de Cuba eastern province, for best radio announcing, as well as “Diario Hablado” news of Radio Ciudad de la Habana station for best publicity, and for “Radio Caribe” news of the special municipality of Isla de la Juventud for best technical production.
Meanwhile Radio Progreso gave a special award, in the issue dedicated to the Cuban family, to the work: “Ilusion de un cuerpo mas fuerte” which was aired on the “Impacto” news in the Las Tunas eastern province.
The best municipal news, which participated in the contest was also awarded.
On this occasion, the news of the 13 provinces that participated in the content were given awards.
The grand prize was given to “Diario Hablado” of Radio Ciudad de la Habana capital station, a station that has also won this award on previous occasions.
The event was attended by Onelio Castillo, National Director of Information of the Cuban Radio and executives of provincial and municipal stations throughout the country who participated, together with radio journalists and specialists, in a wide debate about journalism and press work today.
