When it is analyzed the path as essential social work is reviewed, we feel pride with this memorable literacy campaign in Cuba, a revolutionary irrefutable proof that functioned as a clarion call for further development activities. The country was virtually sown up schools in remote places; schools in all possible levels, including special education for children and adults with physical and mental disabilities; schools of art, crafts, sports; and cannot fail to mention the spreading of university education in the country.
But in the performance and interpretation of education as a fundamental human right, Cuba has sought to transcend their achievements many fraternal peoples of the world. The test is uplifting without doubt, the program created by Cuba “Yes I Can” to teach reading and writing, through a recognized as a very efficient method, even internationally. Something else, which by its great human value I should mention. I refer to the Houses of homeless children, where staff maintains ongoing concern about the school their children, and are true examples of most loving parents.
I cannot stop saying that a very high percentage of the national budget is devoted to education, convinced that the path is correct. Cuba does not invest a penny to manufacture sophisticated weapons to bring death to other people; or devotes great resources to destabilize governments; Real or execute terrorism; or maintain secret prisons to torture suspected terrorists; technical or scientific mechanism to spy on governments, institutions etc .; orphans or pay unscrupulous human feelings to bomb and create terror in Cuban homeland.
This is not how one can speak cynically of human rights, and is not so ridiculous, embarrassing list of countries “violating human rights” from the same nation that has less moral authority to talk about them are made, which includes in its budget the millions precisely to combat the exercise of human rights in countries struggling to defend. While there in the United States, education is a business; here in the Cuban nation, is not only free, but also is a human right of all Cubans.
