For almost four decades, she reflected, as a reporter, the economic and social events of Camaguey. He investigated beyond the news, offering life stories of those in fields and cities who devote their efforts anonymously and daily to constructing reality.
Without a doubt, she was a versatile and dynamic journalist for the Cadena Agramonte radio station, and a correspondent for Radio Reloj in Camagüey, sharing with the new batches of journalists’ ways and methods of work forged during many years of work and trade in the environment, recognized with diverse distinctions and recognitions conferred by the Union of Journalists of Cuba and the Cuban Radio.
For the residents of La Norma district, Raysa was also the active constituency delegate, identified with the proposals of her electors, whom she energetically represented for more than one term before the Municipal Assembly of People’s Power.
Even though it was never the same, after the cerebral infarction that Raysa had three years ago, she managed to regain part of her motor skills, by force of will and enormous desire to live. Despite the medical attention, in the last months of his 67 years the irreversible deterioration of his health was noticeable.
After his departure, he left as a legacy his example as a committed and capable professional, intransigence in the face of badly done and permanent optimism. Rest in peace, partner.
